New Copper Reference Materials for March 2020

ProLab Systems Partner  ARMI | MBH are excited to report that we have continued to work on producing high quality CRMs for a variety of materials. We are proud to announce the release of 3 new copper based alloys for March 2020.

These new products include two bronze alloys, and one naval brass.

Cu485-18 is a Naval Brass containing 60.8% Cu and 36.5% Zn with 1.76% Pb and has certified compositions for an additional 10 elements including Al, As, C, Cd, Fe, Mn, Ni, Sb, Si and Sn.

The corrosion resistance of naval brasses is important for their application in salt water.

Cu544-18 is a phosphor bronze containing 88.0% Cu, 0.069% P, and 4.14% Sn.  This reference material is also certified for an additional 4 elements including Fe, Ni, Pb and Zn, plus indicative values for an addition 25 elements. Compared to most brass alloys, phosphor bronze is harder, with better corrosion and fatigue resistance, and better elasticity. This bronze is a UNS C54400
